A Senior Environments Designer based in Atlanta, GA.
Let’s Get Acquainted.
Behind the scenes of my LinkedIn profile picture with two friends behind the camera.
Hello my name is Edna, but most of my co-workers and friends call me Ed for short. My love for design started as a kid, when I would rearrange my room and make floor plans just for fun. That early curiosity eventually grew into a career built around creating spaces that tell stories, spark emotions, and connect people to brands in lasting ways.
In my career, I’ve had the chance to design everything from flagship retail environments to small, one-off fixtures. I’ve learned that design isn’t just in the big, show-stopping moments, it’s everywhere. Even the smallest details can shape how people experience a space, and that belief guides every project I take on.
My Process.
Immersion & Discovery
Every project starts with a kick-off and digging in. I get to know the brand, the audience, and the client. Then explore the web to see what’s out there that can help inspire solutions. Making sure the design challenge is clear from the start.
Iteration & Collaboration
Design is never one-and-done. I work closely with clients, stakeholders, and the team to refine ideas, balancing the vision with practical realities like budget, fabrication, and technical needs.
Concept Development
From there, I move into sketching ideas. I like to explore a few directions so we can see what works best for the space and experience, without locking into one solution too early.
Documentation & Delivery
Finally, I turn the concept into clear detailed drawings, with dimensions, and material specifications so the design can be fabricated as intended. My goal is to make sure the final environment works as well in reality as it did in the concept.
3D Modeling & Visualization
Once a concept starts to take shape, I build it in 3D. This helps me check scale, flow, and proportions, and see how all the pieces interact before anything gets built.
Experience
Seeing the design play out in real life and how people interact with it. It is always a joy and learning experience.
