Process & Approach
Phase 1: Immersion & Discovery
Micro Center was a unique client because, at the time, they didn’t have existing brand guidelines. Because of that, the team and I spent a lot of time researching and developing two distinct directions for them to choose from. Ultimately, the client chose the maker space direction, which set the tone for the rest of the project.
My Role
Image Collection /Brand Language
Phase 2: Concept Development
After the design direction was chosen, we moved into concept design reimagining the space and how it functions. I was responsible for three departments within the scope: the Tech Bar, Build Your Own, and Order Pickup.
My Role
Concept Design / Space Planning / 3D Modeling / Material Studies
Phase 3: Collaboration & Iteration
The client moved forward with the circuit pattern design and approved the floorplan layout. Next, we brought all of the departments to life using SketchUp and Photoshop, and I was responsible for creating all of the renderings.
My Role
Concept Design / Space Planning / 3D Modeling / Rendering

Phase 4: Design Development & Documentation
In the final stages, I was in charge of documenting all the departments I owned. This included ordering physical material samples and selecting the materials that would make up the fixtures.
